Budget 2008 - Together Building the Nation and Sharing Prosperity

by Independant Daily

Wah liao eh!

Lately if you pick up any newspaper, go into any politic-savvy blog you will many read news about the 2008 Budget. Of course, like any budget or any proposal made by anybody sure got some people say good some say bad. It depends on which angle you see from la.

But hor, one area the government failed to act on for many year is an allocation to trains its servants. I mean, i am sure everyone have heard of this joke:

Q: How many person does it take to change a street lamp?
A: 1 to drive the Tenaga Van,
1 to hold the stairs,
1 to change the bulb,
and 3 to watch.
And because there are 5 person required, there needs to be 2 van. So another one to drive another Tenaga Van.

And also there were the case where our Minister of Tourism accuse bloggers of being liars and 8,000 of the 10,000 unemployed bloggers are women (Seriously, he is either extremely smart or amazingly stupid to have find that out) when Nila Tanzil who didn’t have many nice things to write about Malaysian bureaucracy while she was here shooting a travel show. I am sure Tengku Adnan didn't had anything to do with the experience but it could have been a very simple of case of his servants who didn't understand things clearly and have prevent Miss Tanzil from doing her job. But instead of providing proper training or simply promised that these problems will be looked at he barked at all women bloggers! Great work!

And not forgetting, the infamous Parliantry Office boy, Nazri Abdul Aziz for his fiasco in the all entertaining Stupid, Stupid, Stupid! piece from Jeff Ooi. A few of his infamous quotes:

NO BRAIN

“Malaysia will never develop as long as we have people like (Parliamentary Opposition Leader) Lim (Kit Siang). All these (corruption allegations) are lies. Why are you so stupid? Where are the allegations? You have no brains. Stupid, stupid, stupid!... "

SINGAPORE NO COMPARE

“Singapore is not a real country, it is a small island. Singapore’s population is just three to four million and there are no opportunities for corruption, unlike in our country.

FREER MEDIA

“We have a freer media now that allows many voices to be heard. That is why we have many people making unfounded allegations in the media,” responded Nazri.

Ok la. Enough examples of our gov'ment being stupid. I mean, enough of viewing, listening and reading la. Let's all be constructive here. That's what its all about ma. People makes mistake, what differenciate a good person from a great person are his actions when he makes a mistake. Our ministers are simply, Stupid!.

I believe, as a citizen of Malaysia, that a portion of the budget should be spent in educating government servants. Not just those who change light bulbs or collect tol charges but also on ministers on what to say and what not to say and while doing that, teach them a bit about economics and politics la. I mean, running a country isn't just about how much money they can pocket on their own but how they can serve the country, that's why they are called Government Servant! You know, like maids or butler...

The 2008 Budget says this allocation increase la, that tax reduce la, this la that la, but what for? PM says, budget for Higher Education Allocation is RM12 billion. Eh.. That is a lot of money man! But do we ever see anything that actually happens? New University - Nope. More International qualified teachers - Nope. More computers for school - Nope. So where does all the money goes? Well, you know i know la... 10% Minister, 10% Deputy Minister, 10% Minister's Office boy, etc, etc.. What do we end up with? - School with computers (new or old i don't know la) but no money to pay electricity to power them. Good work!

Aiyar, but takpe la. They never listen anyway. You say a bit more and they will lock you away under ISA or OSA or whatever Stupid's Act la.

What were we saying about foreign investment ah?

Mardi spent RM300,000 without IRPA approval

by Independant daily

I saw this article today on The Star about one of our many government institutions spending money which they are not suppose to spend. As everyone would probably have realised that the media is in fact a tool used by the government to manipulate minds of its people.

So, why is the government revealing things that aren't going to help its next general election. Well, the only thing i can say at the moment now is, if there are any one of you who reads these stuff and a thought went to your head like "Eh.. the gov'ment finally doing something wor!", well, think again.

There were no names of no mention of any actions taken against anybody. Yes, we all know about corruption practices in this country. Everyone does. Its so blatantly obvious that it cannot be categorise as open secret. Its more like a fact that it is anything.

The government have failed to understand this. There are many things that 'the monkeys' in this country knows. The question is what is the government going to do about it. If someone in Mardi spent hundreds of thousands of ringgit without any approval someone's head should be on the ground by now. Make the name public and sack him in public. Else he will just be another UMNO Information Chief.

Paying through the nose for tools

By ROYCE CHEAH, ELIZABETH LOOI and MANJIT KAUR

Picked from The Star

Would you pay RM224 for a set of four screwdrivers?

Probably not, but that was what the Government paid to supply tools for students at the eight National Youth Skills Institutes (IKBN) around the country, according to the Auditor-General’s (AG) report.
